In times of digital work, companies are facing increasing challenges.
The Corona crisis has given a boost to digital work. Many companies have changed their home office policies and will enable up to 80% of their employees to work remotely on a regular basis in the next 1-2 years. While this presents a great opportunity for the digitalization of processes, digital working also involves great dangers. Only 17.2% of all employees feel an emotional connection to their employer. A lack of emotional commitment entails high costs, as it means decreasing commitment and leads to a higher degree of mental resignation. Digital work creates emotional distance and reduces employee loyalty.
